We are having so much fun on vacation...we're not doing alot, just mosty vegging out with friends/family. I wish we had the money to go on fancy vacations, someday we will I suppose, but for now we have a great tme with what we have. Right now we are in Hardisty at my Mom's house. Yesterday we headed to Macklin,SK where my niece Breanne and her family live. I had never met my little great nephew Nathan so we went to be introduced. He's 7 months old already, so hard to believe!
From there we did a round about drive to Wainwright so I could see my sister Marys' new home. She moved away from GP in Feb and I've not been down to see her house yet. It is a really nice townhouse, perfect for her and Cole and they are loving their new community. I'm so happy for them! Cole is in GP with his Dad so Ethan was pretty disappointed to not see him....Mary let him bring home Cole's Buzz Lightyear and Woody Action figures though and he's happier then a clam playing with them!
In about a half an hour we'rer going to head down to the lake for a splash. Its going to be a scorcher today so I want to get there and back before its too hot. After that we'll hit the farmers market with Mom.
Tomorrow we get to have a free Pancake breakfast here, its Rodeo weekend, and then hit the road to the other Grandmas' house where Randy is. We've got tickets to Cirque this Sunday for Randy and I. Its going to be a great day. We'll hit the zoo In Edmonton on Monday before hitting the road back to GP. On Wednesday we're taking off to go camping at Moberly Lake just outside of Chetwynd, BC for the rest of the week! I can't wait! Its been so long since we've taken the RV out! We're back on Saturday to get cleaned up for our family potraits on Sunday with Heaton Photography! Then back to the real world for the Monday...
I love my job so much, I'm very grateful for the three weeks vacation every year and bonus Christmas time with my family! Now if it was just in Hawaii, that would be the icing on my cake! Sorry we didn't get a chance to see everyone while we were on holidays. But the road does go two ways and we would love some visitors to GP. It seems we always make the effort to see everyone but not many make the effort to see us...just saying!!! GP is a beautiful area and we are great hosts...book your stay soon, we're filling up!
