It’s so hard to believe that in 6 weeks I will be off on maternity leave. This year has flown by so fast! I’m ready for the leave I tell you! I’m so tired and have so many things I want to get done before baby is here. I’ve been forced to realize how much of a change this is going to be for us…having a totally dependant baby in the house again! I’m babysitting this weekend for our friend the Dombroskies. Their daughter Sydney is 16 months old…already playing independently so not even really a true example but an eye opener just the same! I forgot how much work a baby is. We’re so used to our super independent 4.5 yr old…I’m starting to wonder if I’m crazy as bat shit doing this now. I still can’t wait but wowsers are we in for a shock!
We have names picked out, nursery furniture bought and all the necessary baby stuff. It all needs to be assembled, cleaned, unpacked though. First we need to get through this last blast of house renos. I’m so anxious for the big day, I want to know if we got our little girl we wished for or if we will be a house full of boys! I have no intention of ruining the surprise though, we will all find out on the big day together!
January 26th is the day…who knows when it will happen though. I’m just happy to know that baby is coming along okay and this last 12ish weeks will be much less stress than the previous 28. I feel like I can see the finish line now!
