~Ethan’s Preschool Grad~

So my little man graduated from preschool today…WOW!  I’m so impressed with myself, I didn’t cry!  I knew that if I let the waterworks begin they would flow non-stop!

What a year it has been.  When Ethan started this year he could barely form 4 word sentences…now he holds full conversations with us and there is very little garble thrown in.  He has matured so much socially and now actively engages with other kids when we are around them as opposed to staying to himself.  He is so playful and fun and has a RAZOR sharp memory.  I couldn’t be prouder of how far he has come in this year!

He still struggles to pronounce sounds correctly and throws the wrong pronouns in etc.  He started off the year diagnosed as having moderate fine motor skill delays as well.  He is still delayed in that…he doesn’t have good pencil grasp and can’t use scissors at all.  He ended the year assessed as being a mild-moderate speech student as well and has been placed in the PUF program for the 2012/13 school year again.

It is a phenomenal program and will prepare him for school in the best way.  So I’m happy that he is going back again next year.  There will only be one classroom for PUF next year and we’re unsure if his preschool teacher will be back.  (Crossing my fingers that she is.)

Here are some pictures of our day today….it was so precious and even though I know he has another year of preschool and it wasn’t a ‘true’ grad I was a proud Mommy!
