Well there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. I finally have some interviews set up for some great jobs for next week. One is for Home Depot for the Human Resources Manager. AKA my DREAM JOB! The job description for this job matches my best skills and my aspirations. I want to finish my degree and with The Home Depot I will be able to. They will pay for my schooling to the tune of $6000 a year. Which means that I will actually be able to do my degree. Adding to that a great salary (probably double my current), a Mon-Fri 8-5pm job, RRSP matching, donation matching, the ability to motivate my staff with an expense account to create fun with the staff. I could ROCK this job!!! I’m so praying my hiney off that this becomes mine!!!
The other job, equally good, but not as exciting for me, is an Assistant Manager for Staples. Good Salary, great benefits, discount on geeky office equipment (umm, yeah I have to confess that does thrill me a bit…) and more of a challenge then my current job. The cons? Rotating schedule with nights and weekends, on the floor customer service work, not exactly what I want out of a job. I’m looking to get away from customer service. People are somewhat ignorant these days. Anyhow I digress. Both would be better for us. More money is always good and both would bring that. Plus better benefits and more responsibility.
So I will keep y’all posted and we shall see how it all plays out. I will be super disappointed if nothing pans out! We deserve a break…I just want to be a superstar Mom for Ethan and right now I’m not feeling like I am. I will be though, I am a determined person…
