I know you know it is Friday but I'm telling you I'm so freaking happy to announce that it is Friday that I could split in two!!! I have a WHOLE WEEKEND OFF PEOPLE!!! Woo-hoo!!! Minimal housework to do, a little shopping and heading to a lake on Sunday with our friends (and Ethans' daycare provider) Aimie, Jeremy and their kids. We're heading out early in the day and doing a weiner roast (smokies for me I hope) roast and to play in some SAND and WATER with Ethan for the first time! We can't wait. So pray for no rain people...pray...
I'm finally getting into the rhythm of work and home life. It's only taken almost three months. But it is freaking hard to coordinate two jobs, a baby, a household and a kajillion Doctors appts!!! Hence why you have not seen much from me lately on here!
I'm on my way to work in about ten so I'll drop the condensed version on here today and upload some pics on a quiet night this weekend. We had the genetics appt a month ago, they are doing some testing, it will take 11 MONTHS to get the results!!! So we won't be having a little bro or sis for Ethan any time quickly :(
Last week we had our year surgical follow-up with our specialist here in town. Ethan has been having some feeding difficulties and has had a couple of allergic reactions so we are being scheduled for another round of tests over the summer months. We had a barium xray on Friday and there are NO blockages in his esophagus, which is very, very good news. However, they aren't 100% that he is swallowing properly so we are waiting for an appt at the Stollery Childrens hospital to do a swallow study to see. It could be 4-6 weeks out. Next we are going for some blood tests to determine if Ethan has allergies or if it was just a couple of one offs. He broke out in hives all over a couple of weeks ago because this stupid mother of his changed fabric softeners...DUH. So the Dr decided to test to make sure.
Other then all that fun Ethan is doing well. He is in the 90th percentile for his height (I know, shocker eh?) 50th for his weight (didn't get that from me!) and is scoring at about a 15 month old in alot of his key developmental indicators. Which is very good considering he was only 13 months old when we went and he gets adjusted back to a 12 month old because he was premature. There are a few things that we were told to work with him on but overall the Dr was very impressed with him.
Randy booked his schooling today for NAIT for this fall. He will be taking his first year of sheetmetal apprenticeship schooling starting Nov 9 to Jan 27. We're so excited for him!!! Now we just need to save lots of money, LOL!
Anyhow, must run to work. I hope I can post some pics this weekend...we made it to the park for an hour last weekend and got some fun pics!
