~Saturday Observations & Oddities~

Today has been enlightening...I just discovered that I now have a severe, gut-wrenching, meal-wrecking aversion to Greek salad dressing. Literally just about lost my cookies on it. I totally almost blew my record. You see, I'm trying to set a record of being the rare pregnant woman that does not puke once throughout her pregnancy...so far, so good, real, real close call tonight though! So that is both and observation and an oddity because I usually love greek dressing.

The second observation of an oddity that I made today is that the Canadian government can see into the future. Yup, I have proof! I went online today to see the status of my tax refund and it says that my return has been assessed as of MARCH 26, 2008 (today is the 22nd). I re-read it a couple of times because I was confused. First I thought it might be last years info but nope, it was the proper year. So I'm not sure if either a) they can see into the future or if b) they are really, really organized. I'm doubting it's b but who knows. I just hope that means that they are depositing my refund on the 26th. That would be nice...

My last observation is that I become very, very lazy on weekends anymore...I just don't want to get off the couch! Goodness knows what will happen once I go on mat leave. I'll become a part of the couch if I'm not careful! Today was a bit more productive then yesterday, but not by much. I watched lots of tv yesterday. Managed to watch like 2 movies on tv! I caught Plain Truth, it was pretty good, kept me interested and I watched the last hour and a half of Independence Day.

As a result I'm not in a tv mood tonight. I'm listening to music and doing some tidying and checking off stuff on my to do list. Printed off some recipes I want to try once I hit GP and can buy stuff cheaper. I've almost got my freezer empty. By Tuesday of this week it will be empty, then I'll attack the cupboards to scrounge out meals for the last few days. I'll probably have one small grocery trip to get a few things but for the most part I have done a good job in cleaning out the larder (LOL) for our move. I of course have a super huge list started for Costco once we get to GP. I can't wait!!! Wish I could get $5 for every time I've typed or said that in the last few weeks...

Well I'm off to throw out the nasty greek salad, the smell is getting to me now!

LOL about the salad! I didn't puke during my first two pregnancies. ;) And, you are allowed to lay around all you want these last few months! Enjoy!!!
