~Brrrrrrr!!!!!~

So cold today! Why you might ask? You are inside, on a day off, haven't even been out of the house... Well.... we woke up with no heat this morning! The hazard of living in an old building, an old boiler. Thank goodness Randy was smart enough to suggest bringing our electric heaters with us when we moved here! So I woke up to a really nippy morning, but now am nice and cozy warm from my electric heaters, layers of clothing, blankets and plus for good measure I have the oven open and turned on. Mitch, our trusty maintenance guy, is on his way to fix it up. I had planned on making some yummy cinnamon buns today but since it's a little cold and drafty in here I'm going to wait till tomorrow.

I haven't been on to post much lately. I guess it just seems like there isn't much going on that's exciting. As Jess, my Assistant manager from Reitmans, likes to say: "What do you expect, you live in butt f#$@ no where!" We've had a pretty mellow week. I've had some bad back pain and so have just been taking it easy. For the last two days I've had a monster headache that won't go away. So it's making it a bit difficult to shake any fun out of our life. We did however have a date night last night and went out for dinner to Boston Pizza (the only 'nice' restaurant here) then we came home and watched two movies and cuddled on the couch. It was nice, Randy, me, Tigger, NO World of Warcraft!

We are getting excited to go home for Christmas, only 20 more days! I can't wait! The real world awaits! By then I should be nice and plump! I'm really showing now, even Randy can tell. I still haven't made the freaking dr appt I should have made early last week! I need to get it done first thing on Monday. I did however manage to get a hair appt for next Wed. Cross your fingers that she doesn't butcher my hair!!!

I made an awesome acrylic scrapbook album early on in the week. I need to buy some rings to hold it all together and then I'll post it. It turned out better than I ever imagined! For those of you that aren't scrappers and acrylic album is made from an acrylic sheet (see through plastic) so you can see through from one page to the next. It takes some planning to make sure that it all works well together but I LOVE how it turned out! It may become my new obsession!

I just checked the weather report for here. I get to look forward to a High of -18C and a Low of -28C today and for tomorrow a High of -27C and a Low of -32C. With snow showers of course! For my American friends, that's a High of 0F and a Low of -18F for today and a High of -17F and a Low of -26F tomorrow! Brrrr!!!! I think I got my headache from the temperature fluctuation, we went from -36C to -9C in one day! It usually gives me headaches when we have such a temp shift, they call them Chinook Migraines in Calgary but I didn't expect to have the problem here!

Randy is on his way home for lunch so I'm signing off to make him something warm. Hope you all have a great weekend!
