~Hello!!! Did you miss me?!!!!~

You could hardly blame me for being absent for this week. I've been a busy girl! I worked Sun, Mon and Tues, then drove to Drayton Valley on Wednesday to meet my sister Mary and Randy and trade vehicles. I left the house at 11:30am on Wed and didn't get home till 12:30am on Thursday. Thursday I had a lovely lunch with my boss, Tami and my ASM Jess. Tami gave me a huge bag of goodies from the body shop in my favorite scent, the Pink Grapefruit. It was very thoughtful of her! I quite shocked myself as I didn't even really cry like a baby when I said goodbye to her. Just a little bit. I will miss working with her so much. She is a great person and an awesome leader.

Came home on Thursday from lunch and my Mom came over and managed to get up the stairs into my house and helped us pack (well she supervised from the leather recliner but she helped to slow down Randy's crazy throw-everything-out-spree that he was on) Jess came over after work and we went to our favorite Vietnamese Restaurant for dinner and then came home and watched tv for the rest of the night.

Yesterday, Friday, we went to our first prenatal appt with my dr here. It went good. She told me that she wanted me to slow down the amt of weight I was gaining. I've only gained 6lbs!!! and I'm almost 11 weeks. It's hard to know what a safe amt is I guess and she just doesn't want it to be too hard on my body I guess. After the dr appt we met up with my Mom and dropped the Hummer off at the glass place to get a new windshield put in. We left it there for the afternoon and went home and Mom and my niece Geana came upstairs and helped my pack the bedroom and the bathroom. Geana was such a big help! Don't worry! She was well reimbursed! I gave her around $50 in free movie passes and a whole lot of salon goodies from my bathroom. I would have given her some clothes but let's see...oh yeah that's right I'm DOUBLE her weight!!! OMG, she made me feel so fat! She got on the scale and announced her weight and I just about fell over! I was mean and told her to stuff it!

After packing upstairs we headed to get the Hummer again. Then we came back and kind of halfheartedly packed some of the dishes in the kitchen. We gave up because I had such a headache I thought I was going to die! So we took Geana home and Randy and I went to supper with Mom and her cousin Virginia (aka JC) to the Green Olive. As usual it was a nice meal. JC loves the Green Olive and that's where we meet her every time!

Randy and I came home and he played his video game and I watched. Boring eh? Well I was too tired to come up with anything more entertaining to do. I was in bed by ten and have been tossing and turning all night with heartburn. I figured out that the headache was from caffeine withdrawal so I had a couple of cups of coffee but it got me back all night. No sleep and heartburn. Oh yeah and the furnace was off so it was like sub zero in here this morning! I had a hot flash yesterday and told Geana to shut it off...OOPS... forgot to turn it back on! So it's warming up in here quite nicely now, LOL!

My college buddy Mike is on his way down from Edmonton today to help us get the trailer loaded and stuff to the storage. I was supposed to have Curtis as well but he is having some severe problems with his wrists and has been on WCB for it for like 6 months so I didn't want him to aggravate it any more by hauling heavy boxes around. He had a shot of cortisol and morphine into it last Friday and when I talked to him on Wednesday he said it hurt really bad. So I told him to stay home and get better. Not that I don't want to see him, just don't want to see him get hurt. I am so grateful to Mike for his help. I know that he values the rest he gets on the weekends from his classroom (he teaches Gr 6) so I appreciate his sacrifice even more! We're going to take him to the Keg for supper tonight as thanks. I just hope that Randy doesn't kill him! LOL! With work that is of course!

So it's been a whirlwind week. Randy's Mom got her package on Tuesday and called us really excited. Mommy this, Mommy that, Daddy this, Daddy that... she was enjoying calling us that! Randy's Aunt Sharen called us on Friday to chat. It was nice to hear from her and all the family down South. She's really excited about baby too! It's so weird to us that everyone is so excited. We're just so happy now that it's finally happening!

So I'm sure this weekend will fly by without me getting a chance to touch the computer again and our internet doesn't get hooked up until next Monday Nov 5 up there so it will be awhile before I can post again. So wish us luck, say a little prayer that the weather holds out and we'll be in touch in a few! Tata for now!
