~Breakfast~

How exciting eh? I don't post anything for ages then I post about breakfast. Meh, it's something!


So why am I talking about breakfast? Well my biggest fear of being on maternity leave is being lazy and un disciplined. I don't want to spend the next year sitting on the couch watching tv or playing online. (Well a little bit of it...just not all). So part of my plan to prevent this from happening is to try to keep to our schedule as if I was working. It's not terribly hard since Ethan and I are early morning people anyhow so we've been getting up and doing the same stuff in the morning...shower, get dressed (although I usually put on sweatpants now, haha), do medications and eat breakfast.

The other plan this year is to get some things done...organize and declutter the house (happening right now via 30 bags in 30 days challenge I'm doing), help Ethan to be more successful in piano lessons (we practice daily now), and to become more physically active and healthy.

After baby is born and I'm cleared to start I'm going to start walking at the Multiplex and using the elliptical at home. Then once I'm used to moving more I'm going to do the couch to 5k program to be able to start running. In May,when baby hits 3 months old and can go into Playcare at the Multiplex I am getting a trainer to work with. My goal is to be able to hike this summer and to learn to Kayak.

I'm less concerned about the number on the scale and more interested in improving my ability to do fun things with the kids and keep up. I figure that this is the best year to make a change and to get into some healthy habits.

So back to breakfast...step one. Keep a routine going. Today I tried something new with my oatmeal, a Cara Cara orange. It was very good but had a lot of pith on it...not my favourite...but it was tasty!

So this isn't a New Years resolution post, I don't believe in them personally. This is just a post about breakfast...
