~Travel~

Work is taking me away from home for most of this month. I'm on the plane today flying back from meetings in Regina. They were bittersweet as we said good-bye to our District manager and District HR manager. Our DM has transferred to the district in his home city and our District HR is leaving the company to take a new role with a different company. We have a new DM that we met on this trip and I can already tell it will be a different culture for us to adapt to. He seems to be a very nice guy just very different then our previous. We have no HR support in line yet so that will be interesting for my business. It could be in a good way, LOL, no one looking over my shoulder.

Next week I head to Lloydminster to teach a series of leadership classes and classes on Diversity and Inclusion for the store there. They are without an HR manager right now as well so I'll be assisting with some of their challenges while I'm there. I enjoy getting out into the district and teaching classes,it just increases my confidence in my abilities and strengthens my subject matter knowledge on these topics.

My University class is going well, I am almost done the first unit. I plan on ramping up my speed once I'm done all this travel so I can have some breathing room come March when I will be extremely busy with work. My schedule starts to get very busy for Feb-April for spring hire for the store. I love this time of year, its a huge challenge and I get to exercise my skills to their max! I have some new strategies to use this year that I've picked up at this weeks meetings and hope that they will give me more traction on achieving the goals faster.
