~Ethan’s Play Area~

Well I finally had enough of all the toys laying around the living room and not being put away or even played with half the time.  So today I started out by cleaning the toys that we bought at the garage sale about a month ago.  ( I know, lazy Mommy!)  I bleached them and then lysoled (my own word, LOL) them and laid them out on a table on our deck to air dry all afternoon.

I cleaned out a three drawer storage container that we weren’t using, took it downstairs and filled it up with the Mega Blocks that Grandma Rogers bought Ethan at a garage sale.  Then I hauled down Ethan’s Little People Garage and Little People Airport as well as the toys that I had dried outside and set up his little play area.  We were lucky enough to have been given a little table and chair from our friend Jess’s sister while we were in Calgary.  So that is there with Ethan’s little puzzle we bought while on vacation and some books.  Also his keyboard, some trucks and trains and other bigger toys from upstairs were brought down.  All that is left upstairs are his books, a couple of trucks and some puzzles.

His playroom is not where it will be when the basement is all done, for now I just put it at the foot of the stairs.  The walls are just plastic over insulation but so far he hasn’t bothered with them so I just figured I would move the toys down there.  It will be a few months until we drywall anyhow.

So here are pictures of his little playroom!

He now has the Little People Farm and Little People Railroad which I picked up at a garage sale for $8 each.  I put them all in a circle so he could play with them all and move the Little people wherever he wants.  The Railroad is pretty cool, it has a car that when you push down on the conductor it goes around the rail circuit.

I sure can’t wait until the basement is done but for now he can play down there to his hearts content and the mess won’t be in my living room!
