Well my friend Chantel updated her blog today so it was the stimulus for me to do the same. Like her, it has been awhile…enough said. So here is the shortened version to catch up!
We went to Grandma Grounds’ house for September long weekend and took off to the West Ed Waterpark for Ethan’s first swimming experience. First of all…dumbasses…who goes to the waterpark on a long weekend??? It was like sardines in there! Regardless though we had a great time and Ethan loved playing in the water and crawling around.
Ethan was also let loose to crawl around the yard at Grandmas house and Daddy introduced him to playing in the dirt…I also think he was trying to escape, what do you think?
Oh yeah, and we got moved into our house in September!!! It is so surreal and we are so, so happy to be in a place of our own. I still can’t believe it’s real. So here are some pics of the progress of getting it ready to move into!!!
And here we are now, all moved in and making our mark!
Love, love, love the house. It is everything we wanted and more. Lots of room, we can’t possibly fill it up!
So other big news to report!!! The little man has turned 18 months old and started walking this week! Big week around these parts!
Fall has landed here in Grande Prairie…we have such beautiful trees on our lot which equals a whole lot of raking!!! Not a job too big for Ethan and Daddy to accomplish last weekend! They even took care of the Halloween decorating while they were at it!!!
More big news that I almost forgot! I finally followed through on a promise to myself…I enrolled at Athabasca University to complete my degree in Human Resources and Labour Relations. I’m half excited, half scared spitless! I know that it is my ticket to a better career for myself and our family though. So that will start up next year after Randy is done school and home again. I will be robbing a bank to pay for it though…
I would love to say that I will be keeping up and blogging lots now but life is about to get hairy!!! I am off work for Halloween and we’ll be handing out treats and taking Ethan in his costume to a few friends homes. After that we head to Edmonton next weekend to drop Randy off for school…We are leaving Friday and Ethan and I will head home either Sunday or Monday, whichever is the better travelling day. Then the next weekend I fly to Calgary on the Sunday (the 15th) for training for my Husky Audit job and I’m not home until the 18th. I work the 18th too! That is pretty much all my days off for November, all taken up by running around!
Thankfully this will mean that time will fly by for Ethan and I while Daddy is away. He will be home for Christmas break on the 18th of December. I just wish it didn’t mean that I would have so little time with my little man. He’s growing up so fast and I’m always to busy…hopefully another year of my audit job and then I can drop it and have a smaller workload…time will tell.
Anyhow, hope you are all caught up with us and enjoyed the pictures…they all open up to reveal more pictures. I am using a new program to write my blog posts and it is so much quicker to post pictures and create an album to host them. I love that I can add so many pictures and I hope you do too!
