So, I can't remember if I told you about our near house fire the week our truck got broke into...Well I just checked and I didn't. So I got up to feed Ethan around 5:30am, Randy was away working at the time. I could smell something hot, you know what I mean? I thought it was the furnace because it was chilly that morning and it hadn't run much all summer. So I ignored it while I fed him. Then as I was walking down the hall to bed it occured to me that I hadn't felt the furnace blowing on my feet while I was feeding Ethan since there is a vent there. So I put Ethan down in our bed and went back to his room and walked around till I found what I could smell. The night before when I put Ethan to bed I noticed that his nightlight was burned out so I turned on the teddy bear lamp that Randy's Mom bought for Ethan while she was visiting at a garage sale. It isn't very bright so it worked. Well when I went to touch it that morning it was fire hot. So I didn't want to leave it, just instinct, so I got pot holders and took it to the kitchen sink. I pulled it apart to look inside it and it was on fire. No SHIT, on fire! So I sprayed it with the tap and put it out. Here is the bear after:

So scary and I am really, really lucky that I followed my instincts and didn't just go back to bed because when I went in there the dresser had black bits of melted plastic that had started to fall onto it. Within twenty minutes that bear would have been gone and I would have been dealing with a house fire by myself while Randy was away.
Okay, moving on from that downer of a subject. Here are Ethan's 4 month pics. He is getting so big and I'm enjoying our time together because he is a giggling, cooing, bundle of joy! Honestly I don't know how much more fun he can be! He should get an Oscar for his honest to goodness downright cute, endearing performance that he puts on for us everyday. And yes, that is why I haven't been online much lately. I miss my girls at Just Need It but I've been having so much fun with him that I can't bear to miss it! Anyhow, gushing mommy talk aside, here are the pics!

Isn't he cute?
Okay, moving on. So my Mommy is visiting again. Yay for me. So today she came over and aside from having a nap on my oh-so-comfy loveseat and watching Ethan for an hour while I did a mystery shop; we did this:

Finally there is this:

This is my Nabob coffee shipment that I received today from BzzAgent. What this is is a word of mouth marketing company. As a bzzagent I get to try products out and then talk to you about it. So this is the Nabob campaign, and this is the new Nabob line and this is their info on this line:
Do you want to make healthier and environmentally conscious decisions, but don't want to sacrifice taste and quality? That's why The Nabob Coffee Company is committed to coffee that goes beyond great taste. It's coffee that also helps support sustainability, so you can enjoy NABOB Coffee's rich flavour today without jeopardizing that pleasure for generations to come. Just as importantly, it also means that every cup of NABOB Coffee helps to support the environment and the people who depend on coffee for their livelihood.
To make it all possible, The Nabob Coffee Company is partnering with the Rainforest Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to making sure the good things of today are around for many tomorrows. By purchasing beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, The Nabob Coffee Company is helping to support the three main pillars of sustainability:
Environmental
Give wildlife a safe and natural habitat, protect against deforestation and limit the use of chemical pesticides.
Social
Provide workers a safer and healthier work environment, and better access to medical care, education and housing.
Economic
Improve farming practices, resulting in improved profitability for the farmers and fair wages for the workers.
It's not just about using beans grown on Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, either. The Nabob Coffee Company has also improved their packaging so it's now 34% lighter (excluding the coffee weight, of course), which means fewer resources are required to make and transport the coffee.
Sustainability doesn't mean you need to sacrifice quality or make huge changes to your lifestyle. Look for an e-mail during the campaign with some easy, helpful (and money-saving) sustainability tips!
Of course, these improvements don't mean that the flavour is changing. Still made with 100% Arabica coffee beans for a rich, smooth cup of coffee, NABOB Coffee is now also sourced from beans grown in a more sustainable environment, reflecting their commitment to a healthier planet. So now the coffee you drink can help make a difference and taste great. After all, the great taste of NABOB Coffee is one reason why the variety of NABOB Coffee blends are so popular in the first place.
So if you are in the neighbourhood stop by and I'll brew you a cup. I get to share it and then I have to report back what I think. It's that easy. Also I got 8 - $2 coupons for their coffee so if you want one, let me know.
So that's the round up of my stuff. It was a lot of info I know. Take your time and read it slowly...you would hate to miss anything.
On a serious note, please send a prayer for my sister Mary. She goes to court tomorrow to try to get the custody agreement with Coles' father ironed out. It has not been a pretty road thus far and we are just praying that she can resolve this to the best interest of Cole.
K, I'm outta here. I have some tv shows to watch while my little guy sleeps!
