~Going Home!~

I'm so excited!!! I'm headed home on Thursday for my niece Jennifer's wedding on Saturday. I didn't think I would be able to go because of Randy's new job but I'm hitching a ride with my sister Mary down and sharing the gas. Randy won't be coming. I'm staying until next Tuesday. Mom will drive me to Edmonton on Tuesday night and I will go to Mike's house and he and I are driving up on Wednesday to Grande Prairie. He will stay with us for a few days to have a visit because he is on summer holidays. Tell me again why I didn't go through to be a teacher??? 2 Months holidays a year!!! So nice.

Anyhow, I'm just super excited to be going so that Ethan can meet all his Aunties etc that will be there for the wedding. Not to mention seeing my Mommy!!! He gets to see his Grandma Grounds as well!

My digital camera will definatly be getting a workout this weekend, I'll have to remember to take my extra card and battery charger! I'm hoping I can convince my talented niece Leslie into doing a shoot for me...she does photography for a living and I would love some nice pictures taken while I'm all dressed up for the wedding. I'll have to work on getting that! Puhleezeee Leslie!!!!

Other then that news not much else to report on the home front here. Randy started his new job last week and it is going really well. He is learning lots about the aviation industry and how it all works and sharing with me too! It's quite neat how lots of the behind the scene stuff works that you don't think about as a customer. Ethan and I had a busy week last week between Dr's appts and tests being done. He had his Newborn Hearing test on Monday but he wasn't asleep the whole time so they only got one ear done so I have to go again. He didn't get it done in the hospital because they were dealing with his surgery etc and didn't worry about that. So we'll go try again on the 31st and hopefully we'll get it that time. We also went to our family Dr here and I had him put Ethan on medication for acid reflux. I'm sure that he is havind some problems and it could possibly hinder his surgical repair if the acid got to it so I wanted to err on the side of caution. So he'll be on the medicine for a month and then we'll go in again and see how it is.

Ethan also got his first shots last week! He did really good with them, only fussed a little bit on the first night and I gave him a little tylenol and he was fine. Me on the other hand...well who wouldn't thought that I would've got nailed with a needle when I go in to take my son for his shots??? Not me! Anyways they gave me a needle for a chicken pox immunization...apparently in my pregnancy blood testing it turned up that I do not have an immunity to the chicken pox. I thought it would be no problem...hahahaha...not so much. Needless to say I felt like a load of poop for like 3 days and my arm still hurts where she stuck me with the needle. Big ole meanie!!! Worse yet is I have to do it again in a month! Yuck!

I've been in my scrapbooking room creating like a madwoman for the last couple of days. I can't share it with you because there are some surprises for people that read this blog but after they are given out I will post pics. I have been having so much fun though! I hope I keep on this roll! My scrapbooking kit has been inspiring me to make lots of stuff...so worth it to me! I did sneak into Micheals on the weekend and bought a few new things but for the most part I just get my kit every month and don't buy anything else...it works good for me.

Well I need to run and finish up a couple of things before Ethan wakes up. My next post won't be for a few days again...not much new going on. But after I get back I will have fresh fodder for the blog...
