Work,work and more work...~
Yes I'm blogging from work, no I don't care. I'm tired, it's been a long stressful two days here and I feel the need to take a break! I can't wait for Christmas to come. Mom called me last night to tell me all the things she's getting ready for when we're there, I can't wait!!! Of course we have chores to perform for her, pull the fridge out, hook up her new surround sound system, teach her how to use the high speed internet better... But we are happy to do them.
I'm frustrated with the nepotism that is so obvious in this company. I just found out that the contractor that was sent by the President of the company to 'speed things up' is the father of the Canadian construction manager. So as if that isn't enough to piss me off, because they are stealing work from Randy in a sense, I asked this contractor, Finn yesterday if I could switch a sofa from one of his staff units with a used one because I have a customer that needs a furnished unit and I'm short a sofa and he got mad at me and told me that they were away from home, and he treats his men better than giving them some old, holey, moldy couch. I was pissed. Ummm your staff are not paying, this customer is going to pay me $700 a month for the freaking furnishings, and it's not like the couch is a piece of shit, it's a very nice chocolate brown one. The biggest difference is, it's upholtestered and the one I want to take is leather. So of course I called my boss and told her about it because I don't care if you're the king of Persia, you are staff and I have a paying customer... I get the couch. Period. So I told my psycho boss, and I knew it would make her day because she likes to stir shit, so she flipped out and called the Vice President of the company. The result: so far, he keeps his couches and I have to take a couch from Brent (The contractor that was originally here that Randy works for). Ummmmm what do you call that?!?!? I don't particularly care where the darn couch comes from but logistically it makes more sense to take one from Finns' units because they are all main floor, Brent is on the third floor. But whatever, apparently I don't know the right people.
I'm so sick of this Finn guy telling us that they get this or that because they are away from home working, blah, blah.... Ummmmm so are we you dumbass!!! The next time he flips that card on me of being away from home, I'm going to flip on his head, I'm so sick of hearing it!!! At least he's away from home and being given special treatment, we're away from home and so far it feels like they're giving us the shaft.
Uggghhhh this is why it's never fun to work for a company that has family ties. Not only do you have the usual work gripes, you have to deal with people's personal life too!
Anyhow, vent over. I just need to have this crap over with. If we come back from Christmas and he's here, I think we'll be looking for a place to live in Grande Prairie because I don't think that Brent will put up with this crap anymore. So who knows, only time will tell.
