Yummy, slathered in syrup French Toast! Mmmmm my newest obsession!
Since food is usually the center of my thoughts around here I thought I'd share what we're having for supper tonight. Why, you might ask, Well because I'm bored and proud of the fact that I can cook fabulous meals like I'm about to describe, LOL!
So onwards to the menu... we are having a very homestyle supper tonight of Meatloaf Muffins (you make them in a muffin pan, they cook faster and are in individual portions!), roasted vegetables: carrots, turnip, sweet potato, potato, onions, mushrooms, green peppers..., a cucumber and red onion and tomato salad, mountain herb bread (in the bread machine right now) and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (about to go in the oven) Yum-o! Betcha wish I didn't live so far away from you now, eh?
Other things of interest... I am now addicted to the Virus Buster game that is a side game on Brain Age (a game for me DS) So much that I'm pretty sure I've played for at least 10 hours in the last day. My hand is cramped and I can't make a fist from holding the stupid DS! Not to mention all the other stuff that isn't getting done around here!
We bought a cheap desk yesterday after cleaning up and getting things in order. It looks so much better than the table did, the table simply took up too much room. Things are finally starting to take shape around here and look a bit more like home. We've got pictures on the wall and everything!
Tomorrow I'm off from my leasing job but Randy wants me to come help him. I will clean out tubs for him and help him tile or even grout, not sure what all he wants. I'll get paid his wage to do it and we can use the extra money so I'll probably go do it. Not to mention the exercise would do me some good! I was going to go on a walk today since it was around 0 degrees all day but I got busy...well I got addicted to the stupid DS and now it's getting dark and cold again. (Dark, LOL, it's only 3:45pm!!!) I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the middle of winter when we get like 4 hours of daylight! Oh well...
Well that's all I know, I hope everyone took some time today to be thankful to our veterans this Remembrance Day. It's important to remember the sacrifices that were and are being made for our freedoms. Lest we forget.

In Flanders Fields
written by: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we
lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies
grow
In Flanders fields
