~First Day of Work...~

Well today was my first day as the Leasing Agent for Northern Properties REIT in Fort Nelson. It was rather boring to start with as the lady that is training me didn't get here until noon. So I basically sat around from 8:30am till then and did almost nothing. I got a new computer so I set it up and got it all running but that was about it.

My office is HUGE!!! I have a huge workstation all to myself and a door that I can shut if I'm busy!!! Love it. Funny as it is, ,my office is almost the same size as our apartment. No kidding, at least half the size if not more.

I started my training at 1pm until 5pm and basically learned the computer program. No problem. Apparently it's the hardest thing to learn I guess. Took me like 5 minutes to get the hang of it. That's pretty much all we got a chance to do today given the many times we were interrupted. I really got a good feel for it and I'm pretty sure that it is going to be right up my alley. I'm thinking already that it might be a hard job to leave in a few months. They tell me that it's very stressful but I don't really stress that easily and I have dealt with alot of stressful jobs before and this doesn't look that bad. My boss, Kelly, seems nice but I don't know how much tact she has. She certainly knows her job inside and out though. Tommorrow I'll be actually going out and looking at units and learning the good, bad and ugly of them. I'm afraid that there is going to be more bad and ugly then good though. They are really, really old buildings. I honestly don't know how some of them have not been condemned. I'm guessing it is because they need the housing up here but holey mackeral!!! Some of them I wouldn't let a bum live in! I guess that's why Randy has his job though... to make them pretty. I almost wonder if Northern knew what they were getting into when they bought these places...some of them I think I would just bulldoze and rebuild. If I get a chance I'll take some pics and post so you can see what I mean.

As you can see we got our internet up and running. Now just to get my tv going... we have to wait till payday cause we need to hire a guy to do it for us. Too much wiring I guess. So it looks like I'll be without for another couple of weeks. Boo-hoo! Randy of course is thrilled to have internet... he's hogging it to play World of Warcraft. The modem we got with our internet connection is not wireless so I have to hook up the laptop via and ethernet cable... we don't have one soo... I again have to wait till payday. Sucks.

I'm still super excited over my Mom's big win at BINGO last weekend. If you didn't hear, she won the huge satellite Bingo in Edmonton for huge money. More money than I'm sure she could spend. I'm so excited and feel like a huge weight has lifted since now I know that she will be taken care of. So CONGRATS again Mom!!!

Baby and I are doing fine. I've been having terrible hearburn all the time and Tigger has been bugging us so much at night that I haven't gotten good sleep. It didn't matter for the last week cause I could just take a nap during the day but now that I'm working again it needs to get better. We locked him out of the room last night because he was meowing too much and we're going to continue to do that until he gets the point that we won't put up with it. The problem is that he wants to see out the windows in the bedroom which are above the bed but they are too high for him to see out. Not my problem though, he can look out the patio door! I need sleep! Other than that I've had some occasional queasiness that usually goes away if I just eat something. Incredible hunger and fatigue again too. I wish I could just get some energy back. As a matter of fact it's only 8pm and I think I'm heading to bed here when I'm done typing this.

Well that's all I know for now. This weekend I'll probably get some time to put some pics on here. I still have stuff to unpack/put away so I'll get that done first. Don't need you to see the mess, LOL! Hope you're all having a great week!
