~Weekend Ramblings...~
The weekend is here and with it a huge workload at work. I'm going to be so worn out and tired after this next work stint that I probably won't be able to talk after I'm done! Today I'm at my store doing setup on Petites and any other pre-set we can do for tomorrow. Tomorrow I go to the Beacon Hill store (which is humongous!) to do their set-up. I'm there for two days and in that time I have to do 4 days of work. Tuesday I'm back at my store to help finish the last touches for set-up, and Wednesday I go to my final Managers' Meeting. I don't really know why I'm going because the 23rd is my last day but I wanted the chance to go and say good-bye to some of the managers that I've enjoyed working with. Thankfully then I have Thursday and Friday off! Woo-hooo two days in a row!!! Then of course my workload reverts to the one listed here yesterday...
I did get the chance to knock off quite a few things on my to do list yesterday a. I have a couple of things that I'll finish up today on it too! So that makes me feel better.
The Food & Wine Show last night was crazy! We stood in line for 45 minutes before we even got in, then stood in line again to get tickets, then fought through the huge crowd of people to get near the displays then stood in line to get food/drink. We only lasted maybe 30 minutes. It was way, way to busy in there. Not to mention that Randy's baby has given me an aversion to the smell of alcohol. Wheweee did it reek of booze in there, it wasn't the wine that bothered me but all the other hard alcohols. That combined with everyone's boozy breath and stinky body odor from being crammed like sardines! Did not agree with me. We got more entertainment from the train ride home and waiting downtown with all the bums than we did at the show. Trust me, it was a good time. Then the train that we took from downtown to my house was a total junker, it sounded like the wheel was off the track underneath us and the lights kept flicking on and off in our car. I felt like I was in an action movie and that the train was out of control. But we made it home in one piece.
Have you ever wanted to make Eggs Benedict at home? And not from a mix? I didn't know how easy it could be! Check out Ree's latest post at http://www.thepioneerwomancooks.com/ for her latest post about creating Eggs benny at home! Doesn't that look totally sinful! I love Eggs Benny! Well I did, haven't tried it since the food aversions started!
Oh yeah and in case I forgot to mention it... 12 sleeps till Randy comes home!!!!!! I so cannot wait!!!! Tigger and I miss him so much and I can't wait for him to say hi to our baby! I know, I'm a dork! Hormones, what can I say?
So I suppose I should get going with my day. I'm starving. What else is new?!? Have a great weekend everyone! Think of me slaving away, up and down ladders, hauling clothes around!
