~Mmmmm Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner!!!~

Oh yeah, that's right... I don't get any this year... I'm working.... and my Mommy is in Grande Prairie cooking for my sister Mary... obviously her favorite...but that's okay, I can just go to Roasty Jacks in the mall and have a turkey dinner. Their stuffing sucks though. Oh and the gravy is too salty for me to have. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they don't have pumpkin pie either. So yes, I am trying to make you feel guilty if you are going to be enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner today. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, salads, sweet potato, buns, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and quite possibly an apple pie. Mmmmm, I could lick the screen thinking about it.

No doubt that my store will be deader than nails today too. Just brown people who don't likely celebrate the holiday. I think that we should be closed! No one should have to miss a holiday like this from their families. Do people REALLY need to buy clothing today? Nope, won't be the end of the world! But they will come in, make a mess, and some of them, yes some of them; will actually leave me there and go home and have a turkey dinner! I know! The gall of some people!

I was trying to get an invite yesterday. I asked about 20 customers in a row if they were having turkey today... then told them that I was very well behaved, cleaned up after myself, and am quite entertaining... I had one taker... but she scared me. I didn't want to be leftovers on Tuesday, kwim? So I told her nicely that I would be okay... I would just choke down some Roasty Jacks and pretend.

So think of me today as you smear that cranberry sauce on your slice of turkey and bite into an oh-so-soft-and-yummy bun... think of me missing out on this valued traditional holiday...and have an extra bite or two for me!
