~Longest Day Ever!~
Soooo long today. But it all got done. When I get my digital camera back up and running I'll take pictures so you all can appreciate the amount of work that goes into a set-up. Today I did my front twelve fixtures and my whole casual section of the store. All this while my store was open with one person short. I love staff. I'll be firing her ass tomorrow. Enough said.
So my Assistant Manager came back into town (She was gone to Edmonton for a wedding) and we went to Chianti's for some cheap pasta night. Last time I went to this one here it was crappy portion sizes but tonight there was enough for supper and for lunch tomorrow. And quite good too. We'll have to add them back into our restaurant list.
On Thursday night Randy's Mom and her boyfriend Cliff will be in town and we're going out for Randy's birthday dinner to the Keg. I'm already salivating over the thought of my Keg sized Caesar, Prime Rib and maybe lobster depending how I feel. (For my American readers: A Keg sized Caesar is a drink, a very yummy and oh so Canadian drink consisting of Vodka, Clamato juice, tabasco, celery salt, worcherstire sauce, and lemon or lime. The one they serve is a double, yummm-o!) I frequently enjoy a caesar I must admit. I figure that it's a serving of vegetables...
So they're in town for Thursday and Friday. Of course we have to work so we'll be seeing them in the evenings. But I think they are going to the zoo on Friday. Kind of sucks because Randy really wanted to go with them. He hasn't gone since we moved here because he was waiting to go with her. So it's rather sad that he can't get the day off to go with her. But it'll be nice to see them and to show them the pictures of our trip to see Sharen and family. I'll have to find time this week to make a quick DVD so we can just watch it on the TV. I don't know if I even know how to do that, LOL!
Looking forward to Blue Man group. We have tickets for the performance on Sept 21. I'm sure it will be awesome. We've wanted to see them for ages! I want to go to the Rocky Mountain Food and Wine Expo that's here on Oct 10-13 but Randy doesn't want to go and be in all the crowds. So I'm looking for a taker to be my date. If I buy tickets before the 15th of Sep it's only $15, and if you wait there are a limited # at the door for $25. Once you are in it's $0.50 per food voucher and x # of vouchers per sample. I figure if I take $40 I should be nicely fed and watered, LOL! So if you want to be my date let me know soon!
So that's all I know today. My friend from Grande Prairie, Leanne is calling me back soon. It'll be nice to get caught up with her and her kiddos! Hello to all the new readers of my blog. I hear there may be: Tania, Jen, Steve, and Matt. So pretend I'm waving, hello!!!!
On a side note, there will be toleration of discussion of poor weather... I had to scrape my windows this morning... enough said....
