24 April 2006

Well I had to create a new blog cause for some reason or another I couldn't get on the one I made the other day. I'm going to assume it is all operator though, LOL!

I'm on days off for the next couple of days and of course have a to do list as long as my leg but it's still soooo nice to not have to go to work. I'm on my last few days at the Home Depot before I start my new job as an Assistant Manager at Reitmans. I can't wait to be done at the Home Depot, I'm not a rough n' tough girl, I'm a girly girl. I like to dress nice and wear nice shoes and talk about pretty things, not Customer: "Where's a 2x8x10?" Me: " A 2 by what?!?!?" Soooo happy to be starting fresh again!

We're taking off to Edmonton for the weekend of May 5,6,7 with some friends from Grande Prairie. We all decided that a break from the this city would be nice so we're taking off to have a quick weekend of R&R. We have no plans other than going to eat at the Olive Garden.

We worked on the yard last week and it looks soooo good! We mowed, tilled and I built two 4x4 raised beds for veggies and flowers. I can't wait to start planting. I'm thinking of planting some today actually. We will have the nicest yard in here I'm sure. I also bought a chimnea for the back yard. It's an outdoor fireplace. I've wanted one forever and we had them on for 20% off at the Depot this weekend so I snagged the last one. Now we just need to save up and buy a nice patio set for out there.

We are almost done with the kitchen and then I think we are taking a bit of a break. Our pocketbook and our bodies need it. We have 20 sheets of drywall prepaid for that we can use to do the rest of the house when we have the energy. The next big job that will take lots of time and money is going to be the bathroom. We are redoing the floor, the tub, the vanity and the tub surround. We've already picked out a really nice tile from Home Depot that is really cheap and will look awesome. I've got the paint, faucets and accessories it's just the big stuff that we are waiting for. So maybe in a couple of months. Other than that we just need to drywall and paint. Randy wants to redo the siding outside to but I don’t think it’s in our budget. We’ll see.

So that’s my catch up till today, I hope I can get some time to myself in the next couple days that I have off!
